Design proposal for a client · Downtown Dubai · 2026

From empty shell to a calm, textured home

A Downtown Dubai apartment, handed over as an empty shell. The client asked us for a full proposal: limewash walls, arched openings and niches, walnut joinery lit from within, and furniture chosen piece by piece, down to the woven leather seating.

The proposal

  • Walls

Limewash, to soften Dubai's strong late-afternoon light instead of bouncing it back.

  • Arches

Arched openings and niches carrying one design language from the living area into the master bedroom.

  • Joinery

Bespoke walnut cabinetry and lit shelving, drawn for this home and the things its owners keep.

  • Furniture

Every piece chosen for these rooms, down to the woven leather seating.
